Objective
The Club’s objective is to raise funds to support the Avon Vale Hunt. It also aims to provide social functions for the enjoyment of its members and those involved in country sports. The Club, when finances allow, makes a donation to a charitable cause on an annual basis.
Membership
The club is open to anyone with an interest in hunting and country sports. Membership is conferred as soon as a current subscription is paid. Details of subs are shown on the application form (currently £8 single, £10 family or £6 OAP)
Benefits
All members receive 3 issues of the Club’s newsletter “The Newshound” normally dispatched in Autumn, New Year and Spring. We also issue a Social Meet Card in the Spring which lists all the regular activities scheduled for the following 12 months with contact details. .Members also receive schedules and invitations to events.
Activities
We arrange Hunter Trials, Quiz Nights, Auctions, Dinner Dances and a Terrier, Lurcher and Family Dog Show. We also help the Hunt in running Pleasure Rides, Barbeques and Horse Shows – there is always something going on!
Organisation
The Supporters Club is a separate legal entity, not a subsidiary of the Hunt, with its own Bank Accounts and Committee. It is normally concerned with supporting capital projects for the Hunt. In recent years it has financed a Quad Bike, Hound Lorry and various Kennels improvements.
250 Club
The Hunt Supporters Club runs a Draw which anyone can join at an annual cost of £13 per “number”. Twice a year there is a grand draw for prize money of £500, £100 and £50 and each month there are 2 prizes of £13. To join please include this on the application form
