Nick Bycroft and his wife Caroline have recently moved to the Avon Vale where Nick takes up the post of Kennel Huntsman. Nick grew up in the FItzwilliam Hunt country where his father John is very involved with that Hunt. Nick spent has previously served 22 years in the Royal Horse Artillery and much of it with the King’s Troop RHA. He completed his Army service as a Warrant Officer and from there he started in Hunt service with the East Kent Hunt. He soon moved to the Old Surrey and Burstow with West Kent where he was First Whipper In to his brother, Mark, the long standing huntsman of that pack. Nick is ideally placed to take on the management position of Kennel Huntsman at Spye as well as taking on the role of First Whipper In.
